A crazy week with one hell of a good peak and a not too nice ending.

Crazy week first, I was arranged to do night shifts on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Well, good mah, then I can concentrate on SMRC, but no... Actually, I had my LSBU lessons with Prof. Lovegroove at all the strange and godforsaken places. So, 5pm to 8pm were lessons, then 9pm to 8am the next day were my night shifts. So I was going on and on for like 15hours a day. That was really tiring and the only decent sleep I got was on Thursday night. Kind of.

Then came the Gala Dinner and the SMRC. I feel really fortunate to be serving the Council. Although I was like a sitting duck with my really bad schedule, so I couldn't help much with the prep work. I managed to make myself really useful by helping to run the show, sort out the nitty gritty and you know, socialize... The dinner was graced by His Excellency President S.R. Nathan. He turned out to be a really nice person. We had a nice little chat in the holding room with him and yah, really pleasant guy. I love his job. I only stole like one bit of the banquet food from my dear TTSH colleague. And we took some really nice TTSH group photos. Oh yah, Liping and I even had to meet and greet and usher our dear NHG and TTSH double CEO from the foyer to the ballroom. Really nice experience! Nice person. Well, I feel that the night was a really nice one, cozy and really filled with "family warmth". The conference was really interesting also, I can't say all the papers were good, but I sure enjoyed MOST of them and the technical glitches were totally avoidable. But oh well, things sort themselves out anyway. *Just a note, most projectors are 1024 pixels across at the most, that's about the pixel width of a 3megapixel camera. So, seriously, your 24 powerpoint slides should not be 65.7mb big. COMPRESS the damn pictures! Anyway, I still think that the Dinner and the SMRC was a really good peak.

So where's the bad part? Well, now's the bad part, I can't sleep! Argh! Work's at 8.30am later!
