I'm sick! Damn! And I'm night shift later! My temperature was 37.5 yesterday, slight fever, then 8 panadols later, it's 37.4. Oh man... My night shift is going to be terrible. Hope the morning rounds won't be too toxic. And hope I can maybe rest a bit. Through all my years of fighting obesity, there's always a cock reason that'll just crop up to stop all efforts. This time round, I started my running regime. Just when I'm up to better able to stride (well) for 7km, I've fallen sick. Previously, I've kena knee injuries, sprained ankles and all that shit. Oh ya, I've lost 3kgs since I started this recent regime. Aiyah...

And I try to refrain from exercise 1 week after recovering from an illness, there are too many stories of sudden deaths and shit. Argh!!!

My theory is that the break down of (stored) fats in the body creates lots of toxic by-products and oxidants. So basically, this will screw up my immune system and thus, I'm always falling sick when I start losing weight! Argh... I've uped my fruits intake and vit c intake liao, but still like that.

I'm doomed to being a pear all my life....

Reservist was really nice. Just slacked and waited to rush. The shooting was good, I felt that I shot well, really happy about my shooting results. Met many new and interesting boys in the unit. And I'm so amazed with the CSH's capability.

I watched Mama Mia! Such a nice show! The good old muscial movie genre is really making a comeback! And I love such shows! So happy and dancy. Like Bollywood! And the ABBA songs were really good too. But there was the lady sitting next to us was singing away, like wth.

Monday was Huishan and Hee Shen's wedding. Huishan has always been so shy about her relationship with Hee Shen, and the wedding was prolly the second time I saw them holding handS! Such a nice wedding, though it's not a nice occasion to be at if one has a broken heart. We cam whored like mad! I've finally figured what's the magic about the TTSH radiology team. We are just so young and fun loving and close! It's really very different from say SGH or NUH. The people here are mad! Haha! Will be posting the photos on Facebook soon. Stay tuned!

A crazy week with one hell of a good peak and a not too nice ending.

Crazy week first, I was arranged to do night shifts on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Well, good mah, then I can concentrate on SMRC, but no... Actually, I had my LSBU lessons with Prof. Lovegroove at all the strange and godforsaken places. So, 5pm to 8pm were lessons, then 9pm to 8am the next day were my night shifts. So I was going on and on for like 15hours a day. That was really tiring and the only decent sleep I got was on Thursday night. Kind of.

Then came the Gala Dinner and the SMRC. I feel really fortunate to be serving the Council. Although I was like a sitting duck with my really bad schedule, so I couldn't help much with the prep work. I managed to make myself really useful by helping to run the show, sort out the nitty gritty and you know, socialize... The dinner was graced by His Excellency President S.R. Nathan. He turned out to be a really nice person. We had a nice little chat in the holding room with him and yah, really pleasant guy. I love his job. I only stole like one bit of the banquet food from my dear TTSH colleague. And we took some really nice TTSH group photos. Oh yah, Liping and I even had to meet and greet and usher our dear NHG and TTSH double CEO from the foyer to the ballroom. Really nice experience! Nice person. Well, I feel that the night was a really nice one, cozy and really filled with "family warmth". The conference was really interesting also, I can't say all the papers were good, but I sure enjoyed MOST of them and the technical glitches were totally avoidable. But oh well, things sort themselves out anyway. *Just a note, most projectors are 1024 pixels across at the most, that's about the pixel width of a 3megapixel camera. So, seriously, your 24 powerpoint slides should not be 65.7mb big. COMPRESS the damn pictures! Anyway, I still think that the Dinner and the SMRC was a really good peak.

So where's the bad part? Well, now's the bad part, I can't sleep! Argh! Work's at 8.30am later!
