"Your hospital not as busy loh, it's very good loh, can close..."
Well, I just found out why we can close, with real stats! I'm not going to say the stats stats here, cos I don't know if I can release it but it's all real...
In May 2007, we saw 30% more Priority 1 patients and about 40% more Priority 2 patients as compared to the hospital that starts with S.
I'm not really bitching about anything here, but seriously, we are busy. Hard core... This is the place where all the 2 busiest expressways converge.
But I love my work and my workplace, which isn't that bad...

Yeah, tonight is my last night shift! So nice. Yesterday was a rather tiring one, not cos it was tooooo busy. But just because I didn't have enough rest. Anyway, I went to watch The Secret yesterday, 不能说的秘密.
It's really nice, was rather surprised that Jay could produce such a show. I love the story line and the nice and warm and simple romance, but the cinematography is really kinda amateur and very egoistic, but then again, it's Jay Chou so yah, he thinks he's king.
I was like just planted onto the seat at the end of the movie when it ended, still "enjoying" the secret. Which is was rather clever. And of course the song, 不能说的秘密. Which, Livevil did a killer cover of.
Yup, went for the Livevil gig on Saturday afternoon, their cover of 不能说的秘密 was running around my head for the entire Saturday's night shift. So yeah, well done.

Caught up with an old friend today. She's doing so well now. Glad she's having such a good time in the new environment. She's getting married too, so congrats!
Went to send darling's parcel today, it started raining suddenly, but heng I managed to get the parcel to the post office with only some superficial water droplets only.
Pretty uneventful day with a nice afternoon nap and a jog at the end of the day. It was nice... and night shift starts tmr. Quite sian...

I did an S-C joint xray today! Power siah, I've never seen a single one of these since my student days. And of all places, the patient came through the A n E. Oh well, good thing I still remember. Hmmm... I still have yet to do Mastoids, IAM and maybe sternum oblique. I know that somewhere down the road, I'll see one... Maybe not yet... Oh ya, anyone knows how to do xray for the styloid process of the skull? I don't, please enlightment me...

The week's been pretty harsh on me, even though it's only been like 2 days. I starting Monday morning doing my CPIP project. It's really siong to be doing project on the last minute in the middle of the night. Thankfully, we managed to hand it in on time. Which is nice...
Been walking alot and carrying heavy lead shield. 累。。。

Don't have any juice to write right now. But maybe it'll come as I write about my extremely screwed up sleep. Once again, I went to sleep at about 8pm just now. Dozed off while watching the last 10 mins of Kinship.
I'm craving for tako yaki like siao now. But the thought of getting the batter done and stuff really turns me off...
Guess I really have nothing to write about, tomorrow's board looks like it's going to be hell... We'll see...

There's a million reasons why people turn up at the Emergency Department on Sunday afternoons. Here's some that I can think of:
1. "Eh, let's play basketball". An hour later, "I think I sprained my ankle, bring me to A n E!"
2. "Aiyah, ah mah got fever, and the clinics don't open on Sundays, A n E lor. Or else, go 24hour clinic, blood test and such going to amount to huge amount."
3. "Aiyah, I don't want to book in today leh. Go A n E and try my luck"
4. "Let's have a good meal with a nice steam fish". "Oh shit, I've got a fish bone in my throat! A n E!"
5. "Wu tai zi mo!!! Huat ah!!! Oh oh oh... my heart pain, bring me to A n E!"

I'm currently super bored. Hanging out at home waiting to go to work. Life as a shift worker sucks. Well, the nice thing is a get to wake up late for many days in a week, but this also means i lose my nights and evenings for social events. Oh well, give and take I guess.
Oh ya, my chili tree has fruited once again. This time, there's 3 chili-lings (if there's such a word). I think there's a 4th but we'll see if it's just a withering flower or a fertilized one. I was showing the mahjong people my chili plant on saturday morning and Alvin couldn't help but ask, you grew this from seeds?
The answer is yes, I threw like 20 seeds into the soil and watched it grow. My next project is an apple "tree". The seedling looks strong, but I have no idea if this baby will grow into a fruiting plant or not. Especially went it's in a pot with less than 5kg of soil. We'll see, haha...

Met Alvin and Yong Zhi for Rush Hour 3 yesterday. I think I watched the first part with Baobei, but that's too long ago. The show was very funny and lame in many ways. And I missed the first 10 mins of the show. Thanks to dinner at Indulge (i think that's the name of the place). They served Fusion Food, like Chinese meets West, quite nice, was quite surprised with the food quality. However, they took really too long to serve the food, thus, ya, 10mins late for movie.
Yong Zhi is Alvin's childhood friend, I think. This dude just join Prudential for 1 and a half months and he earned 15k in commission. Amazing...
Then it was Labyrinth for pool, Kenneth jioed us there, but there were no tables, and the freaking queue was 2 pages long! Oh ya, Ken jioed Peili along. Eventually, we ended up playing mahjong at my place. Haha...

Yesterday wasn't too good a day for me. Some some nasty shit happening after that.
Went to Serangoon Gardens after that incident for supper. My first time in Chomp Chomp. Nice but REALLY small place. But there are some really interesting stuff there. First, the Sugar cane juice was really huge! Then the egg tau hway and hokkien mee were nice too. And, it was facing the famous RK "no-pok" Eating House. So interesting.
I've got to say, the NDP this year was quite interesting. I liked the fire arms display. Reminds me of the videos from Pyong Yang and Russia, where they parade their V2 rockets and shit like that. But, indeed, the Chinooks, Apaches, speed boats and stuff were nice. The performances were lame as usual.
Heng the floating stage stayed floating. Else, I'll need to go back to work.

Effects of working night shift is really siong. After Thursday's night shift, I got home on Friday morning, then slept for 5 hours. And woke up. After going out and about on Friday, I got home at slept from 12.05am(technically it's saturday) till 2pm. Cos of the fatigue. Then, on Saturday night (technically sunday morning) at 3am plus, I was still wide awake, but i thought, heck lah, just go and lie down, can sleep one... And bloody hell, I struggled till about 5plus, then woke up to watch show. I tried again at 9.30am and then, I finally slept... Till about 2.30pm. I'm an insomaniac!
I'm going to work nearly normal time tmr, shit man... Hope I can sleep......
