Went down to Hark Music Cafe Bar for Kok's singing competition. He got into the finals, but with all kok keng classic pattern, he didn't perform up to his usual standard. Sigh... So wasted... Bro, I assure you that you've much better in out of competition settings. Just like Randy likes to say it: "It's the wrong song, dawg..."
But there's always a next round and this time, I'll try to make it for your trying out session, then can help you decide on a good song.

Well, as many of you might have figured. I've finally bought my new phone! Yeah! My last new first hand phone was my Samsung S300 that's probably being use by a proud owner of the phone in a third world country. Or maybe, the parts are sitting in one of your nokia phones. Well, some time ago, someone actually told me that Nokia buys old parts to throw them into their new handsets, that's why nokias suck. (this is absolutely not my thought, so chums at Nokia, be cool ya).
Well, the new phone's a Sony Ericsson K750I. I'm so happy that I've finally bought this phone. I know this phone's been in the market for the past year, but last year, when I bought my K700i, K750I was like freaking 800 bucks with a 2 years contract.
Yup, so the patience paid off. I've gotten my dream phone, although I've doubted it for some time, but I'm still glad I've gotten it. Ha! 2Megapixels Camera. The white balance is kind of weird sometimes, but with the proper settings, it actually takes beautiful pictures. Going to put up a photo series soon, but just gotta find the oppotunities. Already have title for the photo series, it'll be called "Baobei's Addiction"

Got home for today. Qinhui mentioned that my eye bags are really dark and puffy. Sigh, need to sleep soon.
Went to Hotpot with The Evil Clan today. Food's really good, the soup base was really solid and it's only $15 flat. I reall loved the soups. Good stuff there, however, it was really hot but it's all part of the fun lah. There were chicken, pork, pork balls, fish balls, prawns, small frozen crabs that were damn sweet with the soup base. Pity darling didn't go cos she wasn't feeling well. But i'm sure i'll bring her back soon.
While there were more than 10 hungry and eager ppl aiming for our seat. We shamelessly asked the boss to help us take a picture.

Today's performance was perfect. The first round one was good, but then, stupid Fish had to force us into a second round and that on screwed up quite bad. I totally forgot a part. Managed to save the later parts, but I know I've already made a fool of myself and my dear partner JEssie. I'm so sorry... Sigh...

I'm so tired now. Few days of not sleeping early. Anyway, I really want to sleep soon. But I have to write this down on my blog. I was listening to 933 FM just now when I heard Shou Qian Shou. This song if I don't remember wrongly was the song for the SARS warriors and survivors and patients and everyone. It suddenly brought back all the scary images from the SARS period. It may seem like some time back, but think of it, I'm year 2 now. In another year's time, if the bird flu pandemic strikes, I'll be one of those dressed in those space suits. It's not like I don't have the courage to fight such wars, but the thought is still scary huh? Having to quarantine ourselves and stuff like that. I really hope there won't be any of such deadly viruses hitting us ever. World peace!

Today's a super fucking tiring day. I was tricked into joining the salsa performance and yah, we danced salsa for 5 freaking hours today. Was damn hungry and tired and sticky at the end of the day. Stayed at school till 10pm siah. Really wanna thank them all to be so nice and patient towards me. I feel so paiseh. To sabo...
Anyway, I really feel screwed up lah, absolutely screwed up. Very disappointed with the direction i'm heading. Sigh...

Hmmmm...
I've been occupying myself my mad mobile phone hunt! I really really am excited about getting a new phone. But i'm not very willing to pay too much for a new phone, cos after all, the phone can only been this stylo. And a phone is always just a phone. I think now, the real fight is between the K750I and the W800I walkman phone. The features are similar, just the difference in the free memory card, walkman quality sound and a headphone jack. And of course, the style factor. W800I is a damn chio orange color.
Hmmm, I was thinking of getting an old old model nokia 8850 too, the timeless titanium classic. But er... kinda lame to use a black and white mini screen now huh...
It was my intention to get K750I when I could sign up for a new line and buy a new phone, but like now, I'm considering the W800I. Hope that with some very very good luck, there'll be a singtel promotion for the phone.
Anyway, VS7 is out of the question now, it's big, and the memory is just ridiculous.

My mobile phone price is really driving me nuts. I'm currently paying $29.40 for my damned starhub plan. And the same plan cost 25.20 with Starhub and $19.90 with Singtel. But for Starhub, it's counted as a downgrade of plan, so I got to pay $10 or $30 bucks. Wtf... I wanna sign up with Singtel, the voice quality is like way way better, and it's fucking cheaper! By 5 bucks! one year is $60! If it's compared with my ridiculous $29.20, it's like 10 bucks diff. Oh ya, my Starhub plan cost is after the $5 free caller id cos I called to kaopeh at 1633 for no new contract offers. Sigh...
I want to buy a VS7, but Hello! Shop doesn't carry it, that's like huh?! And the more I look at it, the more i feel that I'll be potentially carrying a dumb brick around. How? HOW?

Today's a pretty good day. Spent some money on shopping today. Happy mah. I did very well by my standards for this round of tests. Heehee... Scored a very swee ***, hmmm, don't say better, ah bor ppl say I haolian. But yah, I really worked hard for this round of exams, I didn't even realise until Pauline said I said i studied alot of patho. So yah, hard work, smart work.
Tried the fried Mars Bar at the little shop at Far East today. When you think Mars Bars are guilt food, try frying them. The result, melted, hot, soooozing caramel, smooth hot cream and dripping chocolate coating. The scoop of vanilla icecream that comes along just nails it all. 3.75 stars out of 5 stars.
Shopping was good too. Both 2 tops today. One cutesey polo tee which is matching with darling's piece and another shirt with nice patterns. Hmmm... there was this pair of berms that was just ooozing with fine sweeeeee details, but aiyah, I've blown too much this month liao. I need a hair cut desperately. But i figure that I've blown away 5 haircuts at the IT show and another 3 today. Sianz...

Bought my new laptop today! I'm soooo happy! But i think i'm too tired to feel too excited about it. The bundle was super power. Got a HP 1.73 GHz Centrino, 1GB ram, 14.1 Inch, 60GB HDD and multiburner. Plus! it came with a shining Olympus 5.0 megapixel Mju digicam! Woah! The deal was good. I intended to buy a 2700 IBM, but the specs didn't meet my expectations. So, I decided to down my expectations and got something cheap and good. Saved alot of money. Heeheee...
Table and room's in a mess now. Thanks to Alvin who drove me around today. We like both bought speakers from the IT show. There was a rather cheap pair of speakers. Very nice wor...
Still have yet to catch up with my sleep debt. Damn sleepy now... But I love my lappy!
btw, I'm really not rich. But I really want to be. Then I can buy my top end model laptop. But sigh... nvm lah... Mine's nice too.

The test today was uterly disappointing. Very demorolized, can't believe that I'm feeling like shit cos of one quiz. Fucked up thing is I've considered and typed out like 3 correct answers for my fill in the blanks and changed them. Sigh, I've going to pass for sure, but I want to score well leh. I've never done well for radiography and my previous quizes were like in the A range, now it's going to fucking drop to B at least. Sianz...
Suffering a major sleep debt, my breath smells of coffee, I smell like coffee and I think coffee and everyday at least 3 cups. I've drank 3 cups in the past 24 hours, Argh!!! Still not having the desired attention level i need for my studies. anyway, I'm taking a break now, give time for the stuff I've just studied to sink in. Seriously, I don't have a talent for restful-before-11pm-sleep, I lay on bed for 3 hours from 7 to 10pm just now, and I got up feeling like absolute fuck. My eyes can't open, my brain ain't working. But life goes on, the exams will still come even if i kao peh.
Oh well, so wat's the good thing about last minute studying? It's fucking exciting, and don't we always come back for more the next time round?

Coned down tips for Patho Exam
1. Entire Pg 60 plus the Squamous Cell Carcinoma bit in pg 59 no need.
2. Only need to be able to list the paraneoplastic syndromes, no need to know the mechnisms and cell involvement
3. No need to know the classification of breast cancer.
4. No need to memorize all the detailed features of gallstone complications, just need to be able to list and write a brief sentence to describe the complication.

School today was kind of lame. Travelled all the way to NYP just for one freaking tutorial that didn't have attendance marked. But it sure was a good session cos it was the discuss project with the lecturer session and it really enlighted us on the path to take.
After lunch, I studied in the library all the way till 6.30pm. Didn't like go all the way all the way, I walked around I little, searched for some project articles and I did find one. And I read some techie magazines. Sigh, I love gadgets, just need to money to acquire them.
The studying session was good lah. Covered quite a lot of stuff, refreshed my memory on the already memorized essay and memorized another essay. I know I'll forget the points very readily, but yah, it's better to be prepared. I hate memory work modules, these are usually my bloody weakest. Can't memorize for nuts. Ah well, it's the system in SG, wat to do...

Today marked the first mid-semester test. Bloody wasted my effort to study so hard for it. Though there are some tricky ones, but there's only like 2 or 3 of these ones. But good lah, at least I know that even if the project was to screw up majorly, My grades won't be like in the F zone. But then again, we're not going to screw up our research methods projects. These 2 project groups that i'm in are the fastest and most efficient groups I've been in for a long time. Love working with them.

I'm having a hard time decided between a Panasonic VS6 or VS7. The VS7 is like 5mm longer and 2 mm thinner"( seriously no diff) but has a 0.5" bigger screen, is that like big? Just checked that the resolution is the same. There's a outer screen which makes self photo taking much easier and nicer. AND there's Xpress On covers. Can change the looks of the camera according to my mood. But these perks cost 100 bucks more. The VS6 is like all else the same as VS6. How? How? How?

Ok, I've finally figured out how to mix my takopachi batter to perfection. Very to bring to the chalet to make for everyone to sample. But hor, the pan isn't halal, so 2 questions for possibly for sabrina. 1. Will you mind me bringing to the chalet and cook bacon (pork) anyway or 2. Bring but cook chicken sausage flavoured ones for respect or 3. don't bring at all.
If this takopachi thing goes through, who wants to chip in for cost sharing. The ingredients are imported from Japan, freaking ex. But i'll make and share anyway, not forcing, like must pay then can eat, but will be nice if someone decides chip to cover my costs. Just like my cheesecakes. So thick skinned right?
