Seriously, what's with the thing about saying "good am"? Wtf! I know it means "good morning", but "am" ≠ "morning". So wtf? If you're lazy, just type "mornin", or maybe "morn", these are short forms of morning.

A.M. = ante meridiem!

kao!

Today was a half day for me. Sadly, I'm missing the monthly radiographer's meeting again. Anyway, lunch at San Duo in Square 2 was really great! Thuzar, Kathryn, Liping and I spent like 9 bucks each on lunch, but it was really great lunch! I gotta say, the roasted pork, roasted duck and char siew were really good!

Then, I headed with Velocity to buy new swimming stuff. Spent just over $50 on a new pair of trunks and goggles. My old goggles were too old, both the strap and the middle joining piece broke. So yeah, another hefty investment on health, but I guess it'll be all worth it. IF i use them. Ha!

Going for a swim now...

What a nice and relaxing weekend it was. Saturday night was at House @ Dempsey Hill. What a hill. I love the place! Since before it became so hip! Cos a long time ago, HQ Medical Corp was there. But that's a long time ago. House was a converted barrack. I gotta say that the restaurant cafe side is certainly nice. The Latte was boring, however, the finger food were gooood. The meter long sausage was so good, too salty, but really flavourful and enjoyable. And it's great fun to share with a bunch of friends. Lemme steal a photo from my friend's blog.

I gotta say, the DJ spinning music at the pub side of house is really good! He spun some amazing mixes, and the way he flowed from one track to the next was so damn nice. Some young chap, but yeah, we didn't go to the pub side, cos we weren't doing alcohol, but yeah, it was just great listening to those great music from the pub side.

Today was Clarke Quay for Sunday night chilling. It's the first time I got to TTC since the revamp, nice... The last time I was working there, it was quite quiet, but now, the night life there is so exciting, and the place is just so beautiful. Alvin and I decided to take a seat at Haagen Daas. Had ice cream and a nice chat. Been a while... And the entire relaxing atomsphere of Clarke Quay was so charming, and soothing...

Dang, gotta work tomorrow...

My dad is flying off again, don't know how my mum takes it. Darling goes Sydney to study once and I'm already so sian and sad. Dad come home every few months and flies off after a couple of weeks. Anyway, we went for a nice dinner at this traditional Sing Hua restaurant. Nice food, too expensive though.

On the way back, my brother and I headed to Diginexx. The distributor of foldie bikes in Singapore. Foldies are basically bikes that fold into tiny non space occupying objects when not in use. And since I live so near to TTSH and am getting really sian to walk home everyday, I'm really thinking of cycling to work! On a foldie! Eco-friendly and a good exercise! Anyway, I managed to test ride the Carry Me Pacific and the Strida 3. I loved the handling and feel of the Strida, here's how it looks...

Damn... I want a Strida...

Heee... If the countdown thingy at our secret location is working fine, Baobei will be back in 51 days! Wooohooooo.....

And you know the paradox of a flu vaccine? You are supposed to get jabbed to prevent yourself from getting it. But for most of us, after the jab, we fall sick. I had massive phlegm production and runny nose. And felt feverish, all day, but that may my psychological. But point being, wth? So we get jabbed to get the Northern Hemisphere flu BEFORE everyone gets it? Hmm... Anyway, it's free, and I'm at the end of the ride. So yeah, I'll be flu free for a while...

Today was a paper cut less day. I've been especially careful with envelops and forms and invoices. I really don't want anymore paper cuts!

I'm in the team organising Radiographer's Day celebration for the TTSH department. But so sad loh, I'm on shift! Sigh, hope to be there for at least the last part of the event. Hopefully at least. We may be holding the function in the Civil Service Club. There's a nice and spacious function room there.

Anyways, Grey's Anatomy, Prison Break, Ugly Betty, Private Practice, Gossip Girl, Dirty Sexy Money and Bionic Woman are the shows I'm following now... Nice....

Once again, sleep wake cycle's screwed. I went to bed at about 2am last nite (sort of) and then tossed till about 4am. I don't think I actually had like REM sleep. Lucky it's half day today.

Work at the ED is always fun. Got really hungry at 10-ish. Ran up to Mr Bean for my favorite perk-me-up, the 3-in-1.So nice... But I could only eat it like after 20 minutes of cheonging cases. Also ran into Dr Alvin Tan today. Had nice little chat with him. He's a registrar and still so nice.

Did I mention, that HL's Strawberry milk is really nice! It's bimbo pink in color, and just soooo yummy...

For those who have been wondering what the A-bike on my MSN display name is. Check out http://www.a-bike.co.uk. Why do I want an A-bike? Cos I'm getting lazy to take my morning walk to work, 15 minutes in the sun really sucks. And I want to be able to cycle to work and keep my bike in my locker. And damn. I nearly won an auction for the A-bike last night, but some guy outbidded me. Oh well, darling has a point, maybe it's just not meant to be.

I'm finally done with my night shifts. I love nights, they are simply too interesting. Last night was like an episode out of some medical drama. So many incidences, all not bad, in fact, they are good on the rep of the hospital. But yah, just can't mention specifics here. However, I can tell you about a tourist. She just flew in to Singapore at about 11pm last night. While she was walking over to Mustafa, she missed a step on the curb, and fell. Poor thing, left the hospital with a cast. I told her "Well, at least you get to visit a Singaporean hospital. Something different for a change." "Yeah, it's different, and not a just a zoo or something..."

LOL, but I do hope she'll have a nice rest of the trip in Singapore.

After so many years. I've finally gotten it. I remember the first time I went there was for a swimming carnival when I was in Primary school. Then, many years down, I went there for badminton once. And then, many years went on, and I went there by invitation to the pool for a swim once again.

Well. This place is none other than the Civil Service Club at Tessensohn. And yes, I've gotten my membership today.

For those who don't know, I live opposite the civil service club, but have never really gotten a chance to enjoy the facilities because, yah, no one in the house was a civil servant. I could freaking see the swimming pool from my place and being a kid who's grown up swimming alot, I had always wished I could swim in that nice competition sized pool. Finally, now that I am slogging my ass off for the government, I finally got it!

Took a 3 minutes walk over, with all my swimming stuff. I found the membership office, which was in the Corporate office. Filled up a form, and presented my TTSH card. In just 5 minutes, I was a member. And I didn't even need to pay, cos they'll just deduct it from my pay anyway. Oh, membership is $6. Unlimited access to the pool. I think everything else must pay, but I think I'm only interested in the swimming pool and maybe the bowling alley and the restaurants. Think the CSC at Batok is nicer, there's a billards room and a much nicer pool.

CSC @ Tessensohn's pools is great anyway. The view of the sky is nice, no building blocking the sky while freestyling. And the water is not salty, something I really appreciate.

In the olden days, the swimmers views were done with cones. Sigh, it's bloody ridiculous to include up to C1 for a swimmer view, cos the increased volume of tissues irradiated means a hell of a lot more scatter. Sigh... Anyway, I've figured out how to get a nice swimmer's view.

Dinner was dim sum at Victor's Kitchen in Sun Plaza. Yes, the very same place were the Parklane Fried Wantan Noodle is. Victor was apparently from Hong Kong. The lotus leaf glutinous rice was just amazing. The rice is soft, the fillings of chicken, lup cheong and salted egg fused into a super nice gravy like texture. OOOmmmpp... Then, there's the steamed carrot cake. Smooth, soft, carroty. The cake was so freaking smooth, that you can barely felt any clumps or bits of carrots or flour. Despite the texture, one can still taste the great flavour of the carrots! Oh yah, the carrot cake is topped with Victor's secret recipe XO sauce. OMFG, simply orgasmic with every mouthful...

I tried the new Nasi Penyek at the little Kopitiam next to the Ortho clinic. It is one of those fried chicken rice with a malay twist! First, the crispy batter was spiced, which is nice, but somehow, I think it's accidentally spiced cos it really really feels like muruku, so maybe it's just recycled oil. But it's nice lah, so yah, not complaining about the recycled oil. Then, the meat of the chicken thigh was nice and tender and smooth. Nice... The rice was chicken rice and the salad was dressed with balachan chili, and i tell you, the balachan chilli is good! Add a twist of lime over the friend chicken, great lunch!

Wandered out to Square 2 to my cozzie's NTUC. Business is certainly improving. Bought a can of Sinalco there. The ol'school drink which gott Liping and I talking... Amazing, the packaging has hardly changed over the years. Being such and non-mainstream drink, supermarkets usually don't put them into their drinks fridges, however my cozzie actually put them in the drinks fridge. Wahahaha...
