Finally delivered mooncakes so darling's place just now. After briyani.
Anyway, on the way back from Pasir Ris, something happened. I was sitting on the left side of the upper deck, about 6 seats from the front. Out of nowhere, a heard a child scream. Then the next thing I saw was the kid grabbing his arm, crying at the busstop. Many, auntie uncles walked over, and took up his hand and looked at it, and that say don't know wat and walked away. Then one uncle started quarreling with the driver, and took out a video cam to video the show. AND, everyone kinda just forgot about the child. Like wtf... Then, the driver declared that the bus service has to be stopped and everyone needs to be chased onto the next bus. So fine... I alighted the bus along with say another 30 other passengers?
Then, everyone crowded around to watch the show where the driver tried to explain the situation and the uncle trying to make the driver admit his mistake. From there I found out that apparently that kid's wrist was caught between the door and the bin (or ezlink card reader) which acted like a lever to cause so much pain. I don't think the driver was really in the wrong, but hey, who knows, I didn't witness it.
Here's the interesting thing, while everyone was busy discussing all the shit, nobody cared about the kid. Some just walked over and touch touch the kid's hand trying to diagnose the problem. Like wth... How wished I had a portable xray machine. But anyway, I settled the boy down on the bus, offered him tissue, told him and everyone else to not move the poor child's hand anymore. Like don't worsen the injury. Then along came the ambulance and paramedics who put him on a splint and sent him to KK. I really wonder if I'm not in this line, will I even bother when everyone else just walked away. Guess I'll never know since I'm already in here.
Then, after some interviews with the response team from the bus company, I left. While on the bus, I started pondering. Radiographers really help doctors and everyone else see the insides of ones body. The doctors at KK will need us to tell him if there's a fracture or not.
"We help doctors see what they can't"And for that, I really think we deserve much more respect and shouldn't be treated like dogs and get screamed at. Seriously...
