It's Briyani Day! I just named it Briyani Day because it's the day I eat Nasi Briyani for lunch! There's this little canteen just outside of TTSH. It's supposed to serve the LTA worksite nearby, but TTSH radiology staff just loves to go there. Anyway, on Friday, they serve a special, which is Nasi Briyani. I loved nasi briyani since young. And this stall sell really fragrant spiced Basmati (long grain) rice. With the super nice fried chicken. Here's the interesting thing. The little canteen has 3 long benches (yes, like in prinary schools) that can sit about 30-40 people. On Fridays, half of the seating is taken up by Radiology staff. There are radiologist (consultants rite down to M.O.s), radiographers, radiography assistants and even cleaners. Haha. Hard core. AND, back in the radiology pantry, there'll be at least 15 - 20 other staff eating packed nasi briyani. Where you'll see the (only) Indian dude eating with his hand and the rest struggling like hell with plastic forks and spoons.
Now, that's a Bryani Day.

****************************On a weirder note, I had a really nasty nightmare on Thursday morning. There story goes, I was sent to do portable in this poorly lit and window-less ward. I saw two colleagues already there and looking really sian. And to my horror, I was supposed to do post-postmortem x-rays. And worse still, there were no living patients, all patients in the ward were dead and only one expressionless staff. So imagine a ward full of dead patients. Even the thought is really scary now. Anyway, I had to take x-rays for every bed, my other colleagues were already busily working on their cases, and one of them jokingly said "Auntie don't move ah..." and then,
"
I never move...."
That was the line that woke me up...
Eeekss....
