I lost my marker! I'm so sad!!! It's the one with the ball! Freak! only my 3rd day using it! It's really strange cos while the exposure was made, the freaking marker was on the picture! But the moment we took it out from the back of the patient, it disappeared and cannot be found! My gooooodness! So pek chek!

On another note, I met up with a financial planner today. Hmmm...

Then, I walked back to department to take a look see at the work load at night. Quite siong... What will be will be...

It has came to my attention that the new show on Channel 8 9pm has these keychains. To get things straight, darling and I bought this pair in Taiwan way before the show started, so, it's they who copied us. And we ain't groupies...

These 2 are the new babies in my family. I planted their mother about half a year ago. This "tree" survived natural selection by out-living its siblings (I think i threw in at least 20 seeds after making darling's takopachis). And finally my chilli "tree" has grown big and strong under the care of my green thumb. And after a very long period of flowering, my mum pointed out 2 green chillies to me! I can't wait for them to ripe and become RED HOT!

*******Notice, they point to the sky, 指天椒 (point sky chilli) aka chilli padi. Fierce bor...

It felt like only yesterday when darling and I got together. Then, we knew that we'll have a year apart and I was still thinking that there was still 3 years left. Those 3 years that I had have already zipped by, and I'm only left with 11 days. There's so many things that I love about her, many are just so private. I love the way she eats, the way she get happy at the sight of her favorite food, the way she scolds me, the way she always attempt but fail to keep her surprise presents a surprise. And of cos, her all so beautiful self. I'm really going to miss her and I really hope I can work the year away... Throw me more work please...................

Although this song is about the guy leaving, but if you replace all the "I" to "you", I really tells what I feel now...

Eagle Eye Cherry - Save Tonight

"Go on and close the curtains
cause all we need is candle light
You and me and a bottle of wine
going to hold you tonight
Well we know I'm going away
and how I wish, I wish it weren't so
So take this wine and drink with me
let's delay our misery

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

There's a log on the fire
and it burns like me for you
Tomorrow comes with one desire
to take me away it's true
It ain't easy to say goodbye
darling please don't start to cry
Cause girl you know I've got to go, oh
Lord I wish it wasn't so

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Tomorrow comes to take me away
I wish that I, that I could stay
Girl you know I've got to go, oh
Lord I wish it wasn't so

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone
tomorrow I'll be gone
tomorrow I'll be gone
tomorrow I'll be gone
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
Save tonight
Save tonight
Save tonight "

It's Briyani Day! I just named it Briyani Day because it's the day I eat Nasi Briyani for lunch! There's this little canteen just outside of TTSH. It's supposed to serve the LTA worksite nearby, but TTSH radiology staff just loves to go there. Anyway, on Friday, they serve a special, which is Nasi Briyani. I loved nasi briyani since young. And this stall sell really fragrant spiced Basmati (long grain) rice. With the super nice fried chicken. Here's the interesting thing. The little canteen has 3 long benches (yes, like in prinary schools) that can sit about 30-40 people. On Fridays, half of the seating is taken up by Radiology staff. There are radiologist (consultants rite down to M.O.s), radiographers, radiography assistants and even cleaners. Haha. Hard core. AND, back in the radiology pantry, there'll be at least 15 - 20 other staff eating packed nasi briyani. Where you'll see the (only) Indian dude eating with his hand and the rest struggling like hell with plastic forks and spoons.

Now, that's a Bryani Day.

On a weirder note, I had a really nasty nightmare on Thursday morning. There story goes, I was sent to do portable in this poorly lit and window-less ward. I saw two colleagues already there and looking really sian. And to my horror, I was supposed to do post-postmortem x-rays. And worse still, there were no living patients, all patients in the ward were dead and only one expressionless staff. So imagine a ward full of dead patients. Even the thought is really scary now. Anyway, I had to take x-rays for every bed, my other colleagues were already busily working on their cases, and one of them jokingly said "Auntie don't move ah..." and then,

"I never move...."

That was the line that woke me up...

Eeekss....

Darling gave me her Bluetooth headset. It's nice and I really love it, though darling is getting kinda irritated.

Listening to Fei Yu Qing's new album. It's really nice, no shit. So soothing, it's like he has a drip that's feeding him with pi pa guo all the time. It's sooooo smooth.

ANyway, I've received a weird comment from a patient's relative today. Got me thinking. Maybe I'll have an answer some day...

It's the end of the week again. I had a good week at IVU. Supercollimation is fun. Although it's the end of the week, it's nothing to be happy about. Darling's leaving. Sigh...

Anyway, my mum made dumplings. They didn't turn out very good this time round. I'm so going to watch her make next weekend, ensure that she doesn't miss out any ingredients. Darling's coming to learn how to make.

A Mr Bean Soyabean icecream at the end of the workday is simply heavenly. Rushed to about 18 IVU today. So exciting. Like only one guy needed only 6 films. The rest were the add add add film cases.

Trying to super collimate, cos not chopping the SP is already a given.

OH, and I love the Nasi Bryani at the Hilltop Cafe outside TTSH. It's a secret place, tell me the password and I'll bring you there...

Work at IVU was fun and darling came over to TTSH to join us for lunch. So nice of her. She waited for me to knock off and we went our to Sim Lim Square to buy some IT stuff. Firstly, Fujitsu really sucks. Darling's keyboards number "1" and "3" doesn't work and the key "Tab" doesn't too. They tell her that the parts are covered by the warranty, but labour charges are going to cost her $84. I'm like @#$@#%@#$. Anyway, we bought a rollable soft keyboard for bb, so that in case she needs tab for the assignments, she can use them. And we bought a Mcafee VirusScan 2007 too. It's going for freaking $20! Kao! That's like dirt cheap for a retail box. Haha... and we bought darling's ink cartridge combo. $96 in total. I'm sooooo freeeaaakkkkking glad that I use laser. My set up cost has lasted me through year 2 end and the entire year 3.

Headed to Mustafa! The place with cheap electronics and soooo much more! Darling's first time there, I tell you, if you've never been to Mustafa, you'll be wondering why Carrefour calls itself a Hypermarket (the grammer feels weird around here). Anyway, we choose a huge luggage for darling to pack her barang barang into, for Sydney. It's really so real that she's leaving. As sad as I am, I'm really excited for her. And this "preparation for separation period" have somehow gotta us closer and it's like a second honeymoon period. I'm so in bliss...

Went pasar malaming with darling yesterday evening. The pasar malam was really tiny. The usual food were there but there were many stalls. I never fail to think that darling is really easily satisfied. For one, she's always very excited when there's a pasar malam, and she hops in joy when she buys her pasar malam food. The otah, the ramly burgers, the fried snacks are some of the usual pasar malam stuff. Sigh, this maybe the last pasar malam trip we have before she leaves for Sydney where there are no pasar malams for her to be excited about. Maybe some fair of sorts, but surely without the local flavours we have here.

I'm not a pasar malam fan, but for her, I'll willingly join her with the madness, the poor hygiene and the (stale) oils in the food. I love you darling...

Do you know that your boss and entire freaking HR department may be spying on your blog? That's why i try not to complaint about work here. But hey! I love my work! and work place........................

Went down to Whampoa market for dinner yesterday evening. Had the Fish Head Steamboat and Hoover Rojak. Both were just simply heavenly stufff... But then, one thing was missing, my favourite orh luat (aka, oyster omelette). I was wondering why on earth would a stall owner choose Sunday for a rest day.

Later in the evening, my mom called me and started telling me about something she read on the local Chinese tabloid, Lian He Wan Bao. Turns out that the orh luat man was stabbed 3 times by the satay bee hoon guy. Oh man... You know, I like the satay bee hoon too. Now, satay bee hoon guy prob has to do time, and who the hell knows when orh luat man is going to recover. Give me back my nice food!!

To whoever the "real" God/gods are, please keep all my favourite chefs safe, please, no violence, illness, or injuries to them...

2 days of work. One touched one patient. It's just been orientation so far. Which is nice, to finally learn how to manipulate the computers and stuff. Staying awake has been extremely difficult cos I'm simply too nocturnal at this stage. I can't sleep well at night and I'm very sleepy in the day. Hope to slowly adjust back. But I'm sure that by the time I'm well adjusted, I'll be starting shift work. Haha, like wat's the point?

I remember Chin telling us about NHG's willingness to spend to develop their people. Well, the orientation is going to cos them quite alot. Considering the senior's time and our time as trainees with zero productivity.

Going to sleep soon. It's only 8:31pm now. I didn't sleep this early even in Primary one.

Oh yah, played pool with Kok just now. Table sucks siah...

I just got back from the Mayday concert. Things just didn't feel right without my usual Mayday concert kakis. The concert was quite boring at the first half except for "Ka chai"

The rest were the new songs. I'm not really against the new songs, but the new songs are getting very very commercialized. Which really really takes away the raw and plain "just rock on" feel to Mayday songs. I had that feeling listening to the album and I thought they could redeem themselves at the concert, but really, nothing really made it. For the songs in the new album, maybe only 天使 made it. And even 天使 felt "pop"py

The second half was much much better, the old anthems like 人生海海 & 志明与春娇 started pouring out and you really see the crowds going wild and veterans like me (sadly i'm old liao) really really started rocking. Really hope Mayday can somehow find back the rock.

Anyhow, it was a nice concert, would've appreciated a more happening crowd. My side got ppl run down and they were just silent and to them, it's like taboo to be high and jump around. Wtf... and there was this bitch who just stood there and stoned. Fuck man, don't respect my favorite Chinese band. Oh well, better get tickets earlier next time...

PC Show + super sway mahjong session = Total damage of $65 dollars. Excluding cab and food.

After losing, I've decided not to buy the wireless keyboard and mouse set. Really liked it man, nice battery life and so comfy to use. And so many short cut buttons. Well, it's a luxury lah, doesn't matter, next show I guess. The show today was like shit. Really serious shit. Human traffic was nasty, road traffic was nasty. Only a few stuff were cheap. Going again with Alvin on Sunday. Hope to reach early and cheong off early. Target to reach at 11 and chow by 2pm. It was already jam packed at 12 just now, on a freaking weekday! They should really hold the show at Expo, where they can afford more walking space and ample resting space outside. Or at least use up a few more halls. Oh well...

Monday is the big day. So scary. It's really coming!

Going to the Mayday concert tmr. Really looking forward to it. It's gonna be good. I just know it....
