Had the most ridiculous serving of bak chor mee today. Sigh... It's the freaking fake bak chor mee at Jalan Datoh! I've always know that there's a very popular and nice bak chor mee at the coffee shop at Jln Datoh, however, me being me, even though it was at the end of the road for me, I just couldn't command enough strength and get my ass there to try it. I've even seen it on many many TV shows. I could even recognise the middle aged couple selling the bak chor mee from the images i see on TV.
I finally went there today, alone. I had no lunch and just missed my transfer bus, so I tot might as well head over to Jalan Datoh to try the bak chor mee. When I got there, the uncle AND aunty didn't look the same, I thought, maybe it's their partner. So I just order guo tiao tang. Then, I saw the aunty serve a bowl and I thought to myself, I'm sure it sucks. I just felt too paiseh to leave and then my serving came.
The soup was clear <---- Wrong
There were prawns <---- WRONG!!!
There was chia xin <---- Hell wrong
There was no lean meat <---- Wrong
The minced meat were precooked <--- WRONG!!!!!
Oh, the soup tasted like lousy prawn noodle soup! <---- WRONG!!!
$4 for that crap <---- wth, of cos it's wrong!
Now I know, the original stall moved away, and that if you know where they've moved to, drop me an email. Could've went there much much earlier...
