Booo!!
This really is NuhC! Well, decided to change my blog skin after the unknown error. I didn't want to copy the Blogskin totally so I've made many many tweaks to make this blog slightly more personalized. No more of that dull and dark template.
Hope you guys like it...
Anyway, this week has been at Geylang Polyclinic X-Ray. The tubes there suck big time. But works smoother, it's an SGH Satellite Clinic afterall. Anyway, it's been great working with Evelyn. Catherine S. Teoxon is nice also. She's our supervisor, really serious about work, nice and friendly. Being at a slow paced place like Geylang, gave me the chance to experiment and time my own sweet time to figure out my technique. I can take textbook standard Lateral Knee liao. There's a secret to it.
And also, I figure that I've really really learn ALOT from Mrs Tay, the in-charge of Bukit Merah Xray. She was really naggy but the things she's been chanting at me turned out to be useful. It pays to get nagged at...

Woah hooo...
I'm back to blog.
I've been away for the weekend for a BB Primers Camp. It's was a hell of a fun camp and everything was so relaxing. It's really a fun camp! I loved it. Great job to all the committee members who to made this good and for listening to last year's comments.
Day 1 started late, nice... The first game was the combined games with the rest of the other polys' primers. It was war games at the Bukit Batok Nature Reserve. Throwing water bombs at one another was really fun! Haha...
Anyway, the rest of the activities were fun, and enjoyable. Fun man...
The new Cadbury song sux... Shouldn't it be nice if the world was Cadbury...

Saw something really interesting on the train today. There was this Indian man wearing a cross pendant. Not strange, there are lots of Indian Catholics. Then, he took out a Chinese Evening Paper, Wan Bao and started reading! Woah!!! Not the most exciting part! He spoke to his friend with a fluent and heavily malaysian accented Mandarin! Wow... Talk about mix...

I just had a killer breakfast. Made bacon and cheese omelette, two streaks of bacon, one sausage and toast! Song song gao jurong...
Anyway, attachment at NUH has ended. I was with this indian expat radiographer. He may be irritating at times. He thought I was an idiot initially and started lecturing all kinds of nonsense to me. But through the day, the nonsense went off and he started teaching real stuff. All my reports have been signed, and I'm happy! Haha, 4 reports for this block. Enough liao... Next week just go Bukit Merah and use lousy systems. Relax and enjoy, must start researching on the good food there. I've got direct bus to the next two polyclinics... Yeah!

I'm sick. I think i am. Felt really sick last night and this morning when i got up. Went to see my doctor, and waited one bloody hour even tho i've made an appointment. Wtf man... waste my time. Next time, I shall just visit the nearer and cheaper clinic. Got 4 doctors some more.
Managed to clear 4 competencies so far. Not bad for this block. I have no intention to collect anymore for this block unless it's clavicle. Sigh... but what am I doing at home now? Wasting my day... there might have been a thousand clavicle cases... But sigh... I'm sick... Anyway...

The weekend is finally here. The week's been hectic, and tiring and caffienne pumped. I've been drinking about 3 cups of caffienated drinks everyday since Monday. Well, that's cos I can't sleep too early and I have to wake up damn early in the morning. Work at inpatient is definately better. The radiographer in Room 6 is so much better, he allows us to do the cases. Collected one competency, well, I'm in no hurry to piah the competencies. Well, the reason is simple. We havne't had lessons for like most of the things we need to collect. So I'm not intending to risk writing rubbish reports and score a crappy grade at the end of the year. Wanna better my B+ grade for clinicals.
Got to know my future colleague Xue Ying this much better. Turns out that the SARS thingy really screwed up alot of ppls lives. Like the accelerated ppl lost they jobs siah.
I really miss the AH days where the radiographers give us the space we need to learn and practice. Esp in X-ray 1. Well, gotta live with it.
My poor grandmother is in hospital. I really think she prefers to be in hospital then at home. Unfilial children and grandchildren (like me) will only turn up when she's in hospital. Haha, she seem to like darling alot. Brought darling to visit her with me. Seems like she'll only eat all of her dinner when darling is there. Even evil cousins couldn't do that. HAHA!
Who da girl...???

I've been having my attachment at NAtional University Hospital Department of Diagnostic Imaging. The experience can only be described as pure lousy. First thing is that I've been placed in a standby room, that only opens when there's a big queue outside. And also, my supervisor has got so many errands to run that he doesn't have time to be bothered about us. Sigh...
Well, at least I'll be heading over to Inpatient tomorrow. Lots of trolley patients. So fun. Hope things will get better...
Heard really bad news today... Still awaiting verification but sigh...

Today is a goodand bad day. My parents finally decided to fix air con for the house after like 10 years. Ten years ago, we had a terror air con system. Leaks so bad that they like sworn off aircon the rest of their lives. It's so comfy... But then, today, there's a malay wedding downstairs. Wah lao, so much of music like last night and this morning. So loud somemore, and they like have no idea of fading in and out. The sudden jerks of the bass really scare me awake... But nvm lah, racial harmony mah, 7th lunar month then the malays and indians jialat.

Well, I'm being forced to write about something here. Don't really know wat to write about so I shall talk about the harmful effects of microwave radiation. As the guru, Vijay taught us, microwave radiation will cause mainly heat to be generated on the skin surface, causing dermis damage. (P.S. I'm not a nerd, I don't memorize ntoes. I just remember things that have been mentioned during lectures, in form of organized picture cards and flow charts). Anyway, I think there's more to that. I've been standing in front of microwave ovens quite a damn lot over the past few days. Been experiencing mouth bitter-ness and dryness. The weird taste/feeling that refuses to go off. I'm guessing the radiation has got some kind of relation to that weird feeling.
Anyway, something else altogether. Since young, I've been having eye-mouth, brain-mouth, brain-hand co-ordination problems. It's not obvious, but when you make me read a passage, I can read really fluently with proper english and all.. BUT I don't really read the text word for word. don't ask me why, maybe Mr I've-retired-from-soccer can explain. Darling have me forcing me to read things to her and she usually ends up laughing her head off. I can correct bad grammer, tense and rephrase sentences to a way I prefer it to be, without realising. Until I take a closer look and realise the mistake (that I've corrected automatically as I read aloud!!!)
Amazing huh...
