Went to school for gym today. Was yet another good workout. I actually felt abit tired from yesterday's workout, but i still went ahead and I can feel myself getting stronger. That's such a great feeling.
Slacked the rainy afternoon away. Met Alvin for dinner. I watched him eat KFC. Didn't want to waste my workout.
It's a boring day until I stumble upon a great great show called Innovation on National Geographic. It's about Stem Cells. This will bore the general public, but I think it's super amazing. Many ppl have suffered big time with "incurable" illnesses but with stem cells therapy all these are changing. When stem cells are implanted into the damaged tissue of the patient, the stem cells actually develop and differtiate to regenerate the cells required by the tissue. Amazing! This lady had damamged her spinal cord in the cervical (neck) region and was paralyzed chest down. So poor thing, but after the pilot "regenerative" procedure, she was able to flex her ankle joint! Amazing... The lumbar plexus actually can recieve APs and cause the flexion of the ankle, i'm so proud of medical science. Wah! And i'm amazed that i can apply the knowledge i've learnt in my A n P to help myself understand this whole stem cell regenerative procedure. Anyway, there were also cases of cure for leukeymia (if my spelling is right) and cardiac muscle infarct(death of heart muscles). So cool, think in the future, they'll be able to grow a new organ...
Think... "Hi Sir, Welcome to XXX organ farm. The new liver and heart you've ordered will be ready in a jiffy. Please be patient with us and we'll fix them in you soon enough. Meanwhile, you might like to browse through our promotion leaflets on the upcoming "Buy 3 limbs get 1 limb free" promotion.
