I woke up feeling like crap this morning, I lost sleep once again. How sucky is that. And I was also feeling damn sick in the morning. My throat was killing me and I was coughing like mad and my nose was all stuffed up. But I still decided to head to Bukit Batok to meet the guys of S02 + Siew Wen to play basketball. It was a very good turn out 7 of us made it there. Junming, Zhaobao, Jun Yuan, Jag, Siva and me plus boon of course. The games were really fun feels like the good old days. Boon is so tiny and the bumps she suffered from the boys made her fly so damn far! My (self-diagnosed) cold took my form away from me. My shooting was a piece of shit, my lay-ups were unusually inaccurate. But all's good and Jun Yuen was impressed with my improvement in basketballing skills.
Headed to Jurong East Central for Duck Noodle. I didn't exactly eat noodles, I ate kway tiao. I hate teh taste of yellow noodles. Duck Noodle was still damn good, except for the fact that they didn't have any innerts available. Really miss eating there. Good old days...
Headed for mahjong at ZB's place. It was fun and we caught up quite abit. JunYuen went over to watch some misunderstood videos. Lost terribly in the game. Good thing no chips involved. Think I lost cos we weren't gambling and my cold was killing my attention. Lost ALL my chips, so sad. So humiliating.
Recieved a call from darling, she sounded very very excited and told me about something we've been looking for for some time. So I decided to head to Causeway point where she was. Stole her over from charlene and went for dinner with her. Went to the shop to see what she was soooo excited about. It's this thingy that you choose that design and they put it on a metal plate for us to color in pastel colored paste. It's baked after we finish coloring and it'll be a sticker. It's really nice and darling really loves doing those (with me). It's sooo pretty...
Will get a photo of it soon...

Went to watch Shutter with darling yesterday. Oh man, it's my first horror show in so many many donkey years. I was so damn freaked out. The show was good no doubt, but it so scary. Darling was so cute throughout the show. 50 percent of the time she was covering her eyes and hiding herself behind my arm! Whereas for me, I shouted 3 times during the show. Damn! I hate horror movies, don't ever ask me for a horror movie. The one person in the world with the priviledge to ask me for a horror movie is darling only.
Headed to Chinatown later, we wanted to find darling's flip flops but instead we went for a foot reflexology massage. The massage was very shiok, darling was feeling damn ticklish but it was good for her too. Had dinner at Chinatown hawker after. Food was goood, ate chui kway, ah balling, fish meat bee hoon and claypot rice. The claypot rice was damn good, only down side was the 50 (!!!!) mins wait!!! Bee hoon was damn good also, and chui kway was damn good also. What a day...
Saw The Incredibles today! At Cineleisure, my dear Buttercup Cafe is gone. So sad siah, it was a nice place. Back to the movie, Jack-jack is so damn damn cute! I love him! And Dash too! Darling is so crazy about Jack-jack, anyone knows where to find a Jack-jack toy? That doesn't have the dumb voice feature? Eh, who wants to go for waffles TOMORROW? I can't find anyone who's interested leh...

I love the festive season. Today went to Norlin's and Rose's house for Hari Raya vist. So nice, but it all started with a terrible 1 and half hour wait for everyone to appear. Noh the firefighter was the lastest! GOodness, how he fight fire... Norlin's fried chicken wings were so good. Oh man... My dear female me, i'm sure you know what to do.
The ZB's jeans tearing drama was damn funny... Muahahhaa! Jag and I tried our best to save his jeans! But anyway... I wasn't in the best form today. I think I woke up from the wrong side of the bed today. Was seriously tired throughout the day!
Went to Rose's house later. Her Orange palace is so nice! So cosy and sooooo orangy. And I'm so amazed that 90% of her tabletop could be seen. Unlike mine! I could barely remember the colour of my table top, it's sooooo full of stuff. Food at Rose's house is so good! And her family is such a not typical malay family! No one is obese! With all the good food, I wonder how they do it... BTW, someone enlighten me on the name of that roti-something... I really like it...

Today was a really hardcore spending day. Spent like $200 ++ bucks! Haiz, my precious money. But yeah, next week, attachment's starting so I don't think I'll have the chance to spend money other than on meals. Met darling in the morning for breakfast at Tampines 201, then when down to Bras Basah to buy a new supply for my contacts. Headed over to Orchard for some shopping and lunch at Mos Burger. I realised that Mos is the fastfood restaurant that runs with one of the most staff in terms of outlet size against number of staff. Bought a pair of board shorts at Flash and Splash, this is one of the most most most overdue items on my shopping list! Well, that's minus away the insanely priced gadgets that I just drool for. When over to Taka to buy a pair of leather shoes. I want to wear something comfy and nice for attachment. Need one anyway, my older pair is mouldy and wrinkled already. Had dinner at Whampoa, wah! Rojak was opened today! So shiok! Darling also agreed. Had my favourite orh-lauh (oyster ommelette).
Introduced darling to a type of noodle that taste soooo great. It called Hokkien Mee, it's not the Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee, it's Hokkien Mee at a cook food (tze char) stall. Its yellow noodle in dark sause, with the usual tze char ingredients like prawn, sotong, meat and vegetable. It's not a common order that Singaporeans make, actually there are alot of "noodle" typed dishes that can be ordered from a tze char stall. Off hand I also can't think of all, but there's Hor Fun, Yee MEe, Hiong Dai Mai (bee hoon), there's this fried noodle soaked in sause that I can't remember the name, there Fu Jian Mian (Hokkien Mee), San lao hor fun, Sing zhou chow main... and the list goes on. Small little stalls, loads of stuff. Just need to ask them what they have. In malaysia, there's a hell lot more variations!

I was reading the other Primer's blogs when I discovered some major scandals. Haiz, why am I soo slow to discovering such news? Yup, their stories were so sweet. Congrats to Yihui & Jamie and Eugene & Shihui.
Yeah, I was watching this Sentosa commercial trailer. Realised that they only shot the beach inwards and towards the artifical islands. No sea! What's a beach without a nice sea? It's always to depressing to see the industrial islands near the horizon. The huge chimney blowing out smog and flames makes me feel like I shouldn't breathe at all.
Has anyone watched The Trueman Show? They builted this HUGE dome to keep Trueman (Jim Carey) in to broadcast his life. And the end of the dome "World" the walls were painted to look just like the sky. The lighting everything looked damn real. Since Singapore is so damn rich, to be able maintain that humongous artifical beach, why not pump in more money to build one of those walls? Let Sentosa's beach look like the real paradise... Haha...

Went for the Primer's rock climbing today. Rock climbing is fun! If my hands were more powerful. Haiz, my finger grip is really bad, need to hit the gym very much often. I'm going tmr with kenneth in fact. Hope to get a good work out tmr. Back to rock climbing, I started off with the speed wall, could hit the top, but I went really high up, just couldn't make it all the way as my fingers gave way. I can't hold myself for long enough to get all the way up. Haiz, however I did clear the beginners' wall, but then again
"The beginners' wall". The intermediate wall was crazy, really hard to move up. Think I'll train myself up, and maybe I'll jio a few people interested in the wall and we go cheong up the wall again!
Make my wish come true... All I want for Christmas is you...
I was just slacking at home when darling asked me out for dinner. Went over to Bugis to meet her. Ate dinner and took a walk over to the Esplanade. Nice walk, but abit bumpy. There was this performance happening at the free performance area. Apparently it's for the senior citizen's week. The aunties and uncles were all so dressed. Very supportive crowd. They all sang along with the singer (wat's-his-name). Took a really long ride on bus 12 to send darling home. The return trip was on bus 21. The driver was mad! I think he was doing at least 70km/h, that's damn crazy for an SBS bus! He braked really hard and I think he was a road hazard. But hey! I got with a record breaking time of 50 mins!

Just re-watched the Xando X-Fat commercial. I'm truely amazed at how Fann Wong lie about taking the product and lose 2% body fat! And losing 2% body fat for a skinny bamboo like her isn't going to make her look healthier! That's bull! She's already so damn thin to start of with. Load of bullshit...
About the song, darling, it's you...
Went up to Sengkang to visit my grandma today. I still can't understand how people find their way around an estate where all the blocks look the same and when there are hundreds of those in one block of land. Oh man...
My grandma is staying at my uncle's place. She looks so much healthier then she used to be. I'm so glad that no signs telling that she just recovered from cancer. I guess she was really happy looking and playing with my 3 little cousins. Their ages ranging from 1 to 10. My little baby cousin is so cute, first time I saw him, couldn't even catch his name, boy is he going to be DIRT rich! My baby cousin is a boy, the first male heir to the family name (oh ya, did i mention, she's my maternal grandma) and he WILL inherit my grandma's shit load of money. No wonder my grandma's mood and health is improving so much. Hope he doesn't turn out sissy, like in the Chinese serials. I love that little boy, wanna steal him home to play...
Hmmm... Today is like some of the loneliest day in months. Darling is not in town, we're so far apart... She's like a Straights of Johor and the state of Johore away from me (west coast). For those who don't know where she is, you should be ashamed of yourself, bad geography student! Haha, maybe someone can tag the answer on my board. I guess my loneliness will get "worser-er" tomorrow (Sylvester Sim, so is my english correct? Or should it be "worser"? or "more worser" or "more worse"?)
Watched Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. Really cute show, all my childhood fantasies destroyed by that show. I read (Syl Sim, you notice my mistake with my tenses here? It should be "readed" right? Since it was like when I was young) the book when I was real young and my picture of the chocolate factory was far better than the one in the show. But hey! It was a 1960s show, the "Color by Technicolor" era. They couldn't do those impressive C.G.s back then. Oh ya, darling gave me this really nice cheese cake on Friday, been eating it like mad. Only got one more day to expiry...
(Hey Syl, one last option I'm giving you to the first question. Which is "worse". Can't be right? Since it's a comparison.)

When to town with darling yesterday, we were there to find Alvin's Birthday Present and we turned out shoipping like mad for ourselves! There was this 20% discount at Levi's Isetan and 20% is huge! I bought me one pair of jeans, so did darling, she bought 2 tops also. Really shiok day of shopping.
And like I've guessed, Sly and Taufik got into the finals. I'm really disappointed that Singaporeans are screwed up enough to vote for Slyster! He can't sing for nuts! Face it! I guess the people who are voting for him don't see a problem with Sly's pronunciation. Of course "Engrrish" is pronounced properly, so it "da", only ang mohs stick out their tongues to say "THE", oh, and it's "Dia" not "THEIR". Damn... Vote for Taufik man...

Just watched Singapore Idol! I''m so supporting Taufik! Initially, I likd Slyvester, but just the weeks pass, Sly is getting lousier. And for some reason, today, Sly was singing like an Ah Beng. The kind of Enggrish you hear from a Sim Lim Square salesman. Terrible! And he really acting cute, haiz... only girls will go crazy over him, my darling included. Taufik as usual showed amazing charisma and performed with a bang! I'm so happy for him. He's a mat, I admit, but haiz, this mat can sing! And he can perform! Olinda did well too, but haiz... too bad, she's not going to make it to the finals. I know it! Cos Sly is defination going in... *sob* The girls just can't hold their pants up when Sly does his smile and that hand action. Taufik! U go mat yo yo...

Today is an absolutely boring day. I can't seem to find enough of things to occupy myself. But I'm in the Christmas mood already! All thanks to this Disney's show called Mickey's Twice Upon A Time in Christmas... So Christmasy... I love Christmas, I wanna go Christmas shopping already... And I think I may want to join the Christmas Carolling thingy that the Primers are doing. May need balls of steel to sing in public, but hey! I've challenged all kinds of "balls of platinum" things, this only needs steel. Ok, that's rubbish.
I've been thinking... About Superman, been thinking of "Seth and wat's-his-name talking about Superman" in The O.C., then thought of Five For Fighting - Superman and 3 Doors Down - Kryptonite. Hmmm... if being Superman is so hard, why not just let the world screw up and not save it?

FINALLYY!!!! I've found news about my BCM stall! For those who don't know, BCM is short for Bar Chor Mee, Minced Pork Noodle (i'm sorry muslim dudes and gals). The Marina Square BCM stall has moved. I remember back then when I saw the sealed up Marina Food Court my world crushed! I was so sad. It was one of the nicest BCMs I've tried and I've only tried it ONCE! And mmm.... I can't forget the taste. I was surfing www.sbestfood.com just now and I've found the new location! And this time, it's even nearer to my place! Must go there one of these days.
Doesn't this look gorgeous?

Oh man... My 9pm TV slot is gone! After the champion is this nutty in-law show. When I saw Rui-En I was like WOW!!! But then, after the intro of the theme song and when the singer sang, I'm like oh god... EOZ YAT(read opposite)!!! Wat's up with that?! She suck! She can't sing for nuts! And I don't like her as an actress, damn, what a nightmare. I thought she was off the screen for good. Better clean up my TV later, it's polluted with EozYat-ness now... Bleah!!! Why am I even polluting my blog with these words? Well, at least it's scrambled... Should just watch O.C.
I'm sick, sianz... Think lack of sleep from the camp has taken it's toll on me. (She said goodbye, too many times before...)

Just got back from the NYP BB Primers'Camp. Camp Ohana was the name of the camp. Many of my dear friends were there but one particular guy was not there, pang seh siah... Nonetheless, it was fun. Here are some photos. HeeHeee...
Everyone!
There was an angel and mortal game. Suyun was my mortal, Felicia was my angel. And Jialing is my good friend, asking lots of weird weird questions.
Played monopoly on the last nite. I went to jail 3 freaking times in a row! Amazing! I only got to pass GO the first time after all the land were bought. Suay! Guy in front is Micheal, damn funny guy, apparently he took over my seat ooon monopoly and he won big time. Gim Sheng is the on behind, with Chong Quan, and Pam's the one in white! She's the NYPBB Primers' Mentor. Huishan, another good friend, and the act cute gang! Haha... Funny photo...

So what was I doing today?
When to gym and swim in the morning with my good old friend from PJC. He's got a little warming up problem with girls. And that left him very lonely in school. It's like in the game, The Sims, there's a bar "Social", he's bar is like always red (very low) in school. Hope i've pulled it up to bright bright green (full bar) for him. And yeah, he's a really good guy, OT girls, be nice to him...
Oh yah, good news! I can finally lat pull 75 whatever weight measurement unit the machine is. Kenneth said he can only pull around X units of weight on the lat pull machine and his weight is around X. And the same number of reps of pull up he can do. He says the unit of measurement of the machine should be in kg. My good old friend who gymed with me also hit around his own weight. However, the irritating thing is, the gym people said that the machine is in poundS! What's up with that? Lat pull weight and pull up weight different meh? Anyway, if it's 75kg that I can pull, it means, I'm almost able to do pull up liao. This may sound pathetic for a guy who's already finished army, but I can't do a damn pull up! And I really really wanna do it!
Went to Yishun after lunching with my good old friend. I was supposed to cover this leaflet distribution job for my mom's good friend. One of her workers can't work for her now, and she needed help. I had to put leaflets into mailboxes in Yishun! All the blocks with block number 2 in front. Siong, and darling came to help me. We both suck lah, greenhorns, can't distribute fast. Damn time consuming, and we only managed to clear 4000 sheets of leaflets in the 5 hours that we've slogged away for. And that 4000 sheets earned us peanuts. We decided that we both aren't really in need for the tiny amt money and splitting it would give us even less! So decided to spend it all for dinner at Crystal Jade. Good rewarding dinner and hey, the days work was really good exercise. Think the walking will do both of us good. So we worked hard for exercise and a good meal, nothing more, haha...

Second blog in the day. Watched Joey, The O.C. and You Got Served! You got Served is a crappy show with a crappy storyline. Only good thing is that the dance moves and battles are soooo good. Feels more like a hip-hop documentary than a movie. Anyway THE O.C. is BACK! The first episode of the new season is pretty good. But I feel that they've written quite a disappointing story to start off the new season. Still, it's the good old O.C. flava I like!
Went for a run/jog in the evening. Did interval sprinting, the burn is superb but siong. I've only managed 4 sprints, but I think it's good enough for a start.
Oh oh! While I was running, I saw a small fire-engine rushing into the estate I was running in. Then, I saw 2 of the big-boy fire-engines, an ambulance and Police MPV coming in! Woooh!! My curosity took over me and I cheong over to the place where the Home Team vehicles were parked. After some figuring out, I saw this Indian man at the parapet of a 4th storey flat. There were shouts (in tamil) coming from inside the flat and the indian guy shouted back. Next thing I saw, I saw 2 firemen grabbing that indian guy and pulling him in! And our good ol trustable firemen, saved the day! Not as glam as in the movie Ladder 49, but think in a way still worth the people's taxes spent on the Home team. Then again, what was that dumb indian guy thinking off? 4 storeys and he hopes to die? Wassup with that? And if he really wants to kill himself, why wait till the Home team arrives to pull him in? Bet he doesn't know he'll be heading in Queenstown for some government rice.
What a joke, dumb indian guy and the Home Team...
The weekend was a good one. Friday was a Tampines 201 Bar Chor Mee day with darling. We took a nice long walk after the meal. It's an attempt to put in some cardio exercise into our unhealthy lives. Well, it is indeed good exercise.
Did you know? Experts say that walking 5km and running 5km used up the same amount of calories? Hung out at darling's place until late afternoon before went off to meet the NYP BB Primer friends.
Huishan, Jialing, Weifang, and wat's-her-name looked glad that their exams were over. Kenneth was there too. Had KFC and watched The Princess Diaries 2. It's another chick flick and I love chick flicks. I may sound like a himbo, but I really enjoy chick flicks! Haha! After that, after lots of walking around looking for a nice place to have a drink. We've decided to settle for Indochine and Wisma! There was a live band! The resident band led by this guy called George sings amazingly. Soft rock's the way to go! Jialing was really high, on both the drinks and the songs. I must say. It's a really good place to chill. Anyone wanna go jio me...
Then yesterday, and nice a not so sunny saturday was spent at darling's place again. helped her dad move old furniture for dumping. Her dad is slowly but surely starting to hate me less. I've figured that girls' dads always hate their daughters' boyfriends... They must be thinking: "This S.O.B is stealing my precious little girl from me... wat if he influences her into bad habits, what if he..." and the list of possible bad things go on. But hey! I'm a nice guy leh... so i feel. Went for Bar Chor Mee again at 201. This time, I've convinced darling to eat her BCM without oil.
Did you know? Between a serving soup fishball noodle and dry fisball noodle, there's a 200 calorie difference? This 200 cals comes from the oil (usually pork lard oil) and the chilli. Have you seen the aunty throw 2 big table spoons of oil into the bowl before adding in the noodles? Well, one table spoon is about 5-6 grams of pure saturated fats, and 1 gram of fats is about 9 calories. That works out to about 100 calories. Cutting the oil in the BCM would save us 100 calories and the quality of the noodle doesn't drop much, maybe not as smooth but a spoon of soup will do the trick!
Healthy tip from the health-nut!
Went to a welcome party organised by the Singapore Society of Radiographers. The BBQ was good. Had lots of fun cooking and eating. So much for healthy eating for the night. Most of the people weren't exactly friendly. Only a handful bothered to get to know us. I felt
sooooooo welcomed...
As least there was good food, my dear friends from the clique and a really good frisbee...

Went to school for gym today. Was yet another good workout. I actually felt abit tired from yesterday's workout, but i still went ahead and I can feel myself getting stronger. That's such a great feeling.
Slacked the rainy afternoon away. Met Alvin for dinner. I watched him eat KFC. Didn't want to waste my workout.
It's a boring day until I stumble upon a great great show called Innovation on National Geographic. It's about Stem Cells. This will bore the general public, but I think it's super amazing. Many ppl have suffered big time with "incurable" illnesses but with stem cells therapy all these are changing. When stem cells are implanted into the damaged tissue of the patient, the stem cells actually develop and differtiate to regenerate the cells required by the tissue. Amazing! This lady had damamged her spinal cord in the cervical (neck) region and was paralyzed chest down. So poor thing, but after the pilot "regenerative" procedure, she was able to flex her ankle joint! Amazing... The lumbar plexus actually can recieve APs and cause the flexion of the ankle, i'm so proud of medical science. Wah! And i'm amazed that i can apply the knowledge i've learnt in my A n P to help myself understand this whole stem cell regenerative procedure. Anyway, there were also cases of cure for leukeymia (if my spelling is right) and cardiac muscle infarct(death of heart muscles). So cool, think in the future, they'll be able to grow a new organ...
Think... "Hi Sir, Welcome to XXX organ farm. The new liver and heart you've ordered will be ready in a jiffy. Please be patient with us and we'll fix them in you soon enough. Meanwhile, you might like to browse through our promotion leaflets on the upcoming "Buy 3 limbs get 1 limb free" promotion.

It's the first week of the holidays and I'm already feeling bored. Today was a terribly boring and lonely day. I went to school to gym by myself. Gyming session was good, I'm still feeling a burn 12 hours later. Ate ban mian at school alone. Discovered that I didn't have to anyone to ask my usual dumb question about what to eat at Food Junction.
I headed home after that. Was supposed to meet darling for dinner and hopefully Kok but neither materialized. So all i did was to lay on my bed, hoping to fall asleep without success. But after convincing myself that I really have a problem with falling asleep in the day, I got up to watch TV and watched a load of crap. Somehow, my butt just could not stick to the couch nicely today. I felt super restless, and I've re-concluded that The Champion is a piece of shit show. There was only one babe, and the guys are seriously vases that don't look at all convincing. Oh! And the theme song sucks big time, it's the first time I've actually listened to the song properly, and I regret that I have done so. The "singers" were pretty much "rapping" and "shouting", acting strong and bashful but seriously it sounds like shit. Why did Mediacorp import those taiwanese boys anyway? Lousy show, lousy day....
Today was a foodie day! Darling came over to my area to eat eat eat! Haha, we're so going to gain weight. We went to Whampoa to eat Loy Kee Chicken Rice, this is
the Loy Kee outlet. This is old stall and is where the old cooks work at. There are lots of franchise outlets out there, but the one at Whampoa is the best. Darling agreed too, sort off...
She came over to my place for movies and hung out until dinner time. Went over to Whampoa again, this time for the real feast! Orh lauh (oyster omelette), Pork Satay, stingray and fried hokkien mee! So much of food, 2 of us, ate and ate. So shiok. Darling really loves Whampoa. She loves the food here, but hey, with such good food, how can you not love this place? Too bad, the rojak wasn't opened for business today. Or i'm sooo sure darling will go crazy, i think i would've went crazy as well. People say the rojak is one of the best in singapore and personally, I think it is the best. Oh yah, the orh lauh is really good. The crispy parts are really crispy, the soft parts are smooth and flavourful, the oysters... mmmmmm...

Went for dim sum at Chin Swee Road, with Alvin, in the morning yesterday. The food was good, much much better then I've expected. It's in a chinese restaurant called Red Star. This is the kind of restaurant that our parents have their wedding banquet in. The old school stage, the dragon and phoenix with "light bulb" eyes, red carpet, old old old staff. And to top it all off, a floor manager about 60 years of age, in a nice black suit. OLD SCHOOL! With this perfect old school setting, the dim sum was full of the good ol times goodness. The egg tarts was good, the egg part is soft, tasting totally eggy, and the crust was flaky and crispy. Breakfast, oh breakfast, was would you be without this amazingly textured egg tart. Then there were the char siew tarts, crispy and paired with the soft, tender and sweet char siew inside. Refreshing! The chee cheong fun was anoter highlight. The soft translucent chee cheong fun easily showed off the generous amount of shrimps and scallops inside. The sause that came along made the chee cheong fun that looked perfect, taste perfect!
After the good breakfast, Alvin and I headed over to Plaza Singapura to watch Ladder 49. Good show, loads of fire and explosion. It's another typical hero show, when a team mate dies and they get stronger. Ya da ya da.. I wouldn't tell you the ending. Go watch it...
