Just when I thought the day was like damn damn boring, Kok Keng jioed me to night cycle at around 9pm. The trip started from my place, for Kok, his place. (duh!) And it extended all the way into 15 past mid-night. Here's a outline of the trip.

Balestier Road to Lavendar Street, and from there into Kallang Basin, the jogging and cycle tracks that lead us all the way to the Esplanade. From the Esplande, we continued up the Singapore River, passing Boat and Clarke Quay hitting Robertson Walk and then Mohd Sultan. From there, we cycled up a really steep slope (dunno the road name) and ended up before Singtel Comm Centre. Down Orchard, see chicks and ah guahs, and down Tanglin. Up the slope at Tanglin Road and turned into Ridley Park Road and we slowed down to look at the ever so Majestic 2, Ridley Park Road, the house with the eagle and waterfall and countless nice cars.Ridley Park Road and Loewen Road looked damn spooky at night, can't imagine that that was my camp back in 2002, when HQMC was still there. We worked our way from Holland Road to Bukit Timah Road through Clunky Road and Evans Road and I thought I could find Chancery Lane and head home.

BUT !!! we turned into Trevose Cresent that lead to Kheam Hock Road. These were roads that I've never never seen in my life. It was a ,b>wrong TURN! Well, we both thought that the roads must lead somewhere. By my judgement of bearings, I've decided and told Kok that "when in doubt we should turn right". And we did, we ventured far far into Kheam Hock Road, to a point that the private housing was no more, no cars and there was tall grasses around and the road lead us to a TUNNEL that went under a busy road (just confirmed it's PIE). The tunnel, empty as it was, it was really freaky, it's one of those tunnels that Singaporean Drama Serials about ghost are filmed. It was unusally chilly in the tunnel and the road was not marked. It was just a tunnel, no signs, nothing. Still we moved on, crazy huh? The other side of the tunnel was worse, there was forests on both sides and at some usual points, there were unexpected clearings. My goodness, my hairs were standing and I was seriously wondering if the road will end or will lead us to some weird place. The road was still unmarked and bumpy and it was still really chilly, kok and me picked up speed and zipped thru the road, refusing to look on either side of the road. We finally heard cars up ahead, and POOOFFF!!! there was a Cemetery on my left! Argh!!! I freaked! But we hit the main road in a matter of seconds and why to my surprise, we were pretty far off the Novena area we were supposed to hit. We were at Lornie Road! I'm familiar with Singaporean roads, so we found our way to Thompson Road then Balestier, then finally home. Awww man... I'm still freaked now, the thought of the place is bad enough!

However, overall, the cycling trip was real fun and adventurous. Thank Kok Keng for not wanting to U-Turn. So the new lessons learnT.

When in doubt, U-Turn! Not left or right! And If a road begins to look freaky, it'll only get worse.

Just a little photo to end it off...

I had my birthday day celebration yesterday. Jeremy was nice enough to offer his place for me to hold the BBQ, and it was indeed a good locaton. I did my very last minute shopping for the BBQ with nearly 10 persons and we finally went over to the pit. Jeremy, Clare, Jonathan, Kok Keng, Alvin, Michelle, Jun Yuen, Qinli, ZB, Norlin, Ian, Xiong, Foo, Jovita and Huiting were there. (BTW, that's the order time I got to know the ppl, Clare is in the wrong place cos he's name and Jeremy's shouldn't be seperated, that's another story for another time).

Anyway, when I thought everyone was here and we could start cooking and eating the BBQ, very unfortunately, the damn fire couldn't start. Jeremy, Jonathan and Kok went out to get more fire starters while I attempted to get the fire going. Guess what, those idiots ate MacDonalds outside before coming back in. The fire finally came on at around 9, that's like 2 hours, and it was the first time I've failed to start a fire. It's lucky that someone didn't come, or she'll be whining "I'mmmmmm hungryyyyyyy!". That's not the point. Anyway the fire started and the food was good. Hope everyone ate well after the long long wait. Recieved a lot of really nice presents. CK 1 Summer, Sony Headphones, Glass Slipper, a blank CDR (dunno for what) and couple of games, and a Topman T-Shirt. Thanks all for the presents. Love them all, however there's one present that I must say it's the thought that counts... Still short of one present, hope it'll come, she promised it, but what are my odds?

Let's see... there's nothing much to blog about, but someone's asking me to write something so here I am writing something. I haven't been doing much, just lazing around, doing nothing and relaxing. Been watching lots of TV and yesterday I was watching coverage of the Iron Man. It's this super extreme triathlon that lasts for something like 10 hrs. I really admire those people who can swim, cycle and then run for such long distances. Really determined. But did you know, that according to some Iron Man athelete "I am not doing this to beat other people, not to defeat the others to emerge victorious, but I'm trying to defeat the image of myself that's always one step ahead of me. It's about pushing the limits, it's about proving that I can be better than what I already am." Nice huh?

Went to town on Wed and Fri, met the same groups of people, Alvin, Kok Keng and Norlin. somehow they like to ask me out on the same days, so join together. When to the exact same places, Emerald Arcade then Cineleisure KFC. Deja vu...

I love this song alot, the MTV is even nicer.

I just read Qiaohui's blog entry about the diving trip, well, that's really really detailed and I'm really not good enough to write that much. Maybe I'll just post a more detailed version of the story.

Well, the trip started in Singapore at Lavenday Bus Terminal, and the coach took us all the way to Jerteh, with our huge stockpile of food and clothing, and for Andy and MArk, their diving gear. From Jerteh, we took a taxi, a privately operated no license taxi to the village with the jetty, (spelt jeti in malay, i think i saw thatsomewhere). Wel, the cabbie told us the ride costed RM 15, but Mr-Smartie-Pants-let's hold-our-hands-toghether said RM 20. What the heck man. Anyway after the 30 over minutes ferry ride to Pulau Perhentian, I was greeted by a really friendly bunch of people. I knew my stay there would be good. Well, in the process of move the barang barang to our room, Qiaohui's peanut butter and chocolate milk disappeared. It just went poof! not my fault, I believe someone stunted it! I'm soo sooooo sorry that Qiaohui missed her breakfast the next day and nearly causing her to faint in water. But come to think of it, she's kinda cute when she starts whining "I'mmmmmmm huuuuunnnnnngryyyyyyyy..." Oops, evil me!

Anyway, the lessons started real quickly, I got Azmi and Divemaster Trainee Nick J Barton as our instructors, at least nick was training to be an instructor, Bryan, mark's friend joined our group. So there we have it, DJL, Bryan, Qh, Me, Azmi and Nick.

In no time we were doing our first lesson: confined water 1 at KK Bay. Most people would've done their confined water lessons in nice swimming pools but I was complaining about doing it at the shallow waters at KK Bay, at least I got a preview of the real thing. Us boys did pretty well in most of the lessons and to learn stuff, but Qh kept drifting off. Whenever she started floating away Djl, Bryan, me or Nick or Azmi had to grab her back. Anyway, we started clearing the stuff we had to learn and Azmi and Nick were indeed really good trainers. We cleared our lessons real fast and we usually came back the earliest among the groups.

After that, we did our open water dive lessons and we saw a turtle!!! Even experienced divers don't have the chance to see turtle, but we were a bunch of lucky bastards and a princess. Found lots of Nemos and lots of parrot fish and angel fish. The underwater world is amazing. Corals, fish, more corals and more fish... After all the lessons and a test that we copied like mad, we were certified Divers!

BTW, I've found Nemo...

Did you know, that in atmospheric pressure, only oxygen dissolves into blood in our lungs, but under the increased pressure underwater, nitrogen will also dissolve into the bloodstream. The nitrogen in the bloodstream will cause dizziness and light headedness. Qh and me both suffered quite badly from that, but I think we still managed to have fun.

On Wednesday night, we got real bored at night and we started playing Heart Attack. Apparently only Qh and me knew how the game works, but Djl and Drandy picked up real fast. Qh, Djl and Drandy had their hands turned damn red after 2 hours of playing heart attack. My hand wasn't badly hurt, except of the mischaps like hitting myself and hitting the ground. Wahahahhaa.

Qh, Djl, Drandy and me went for 2 fun dives after we got certified, btw did I mention that Drandy was there for fun dives only? During the fun dives, first dive was at Small Reef, we saw a school of humphead parrot fish, really majestic, and strong! The next dive was at Tokong Laut, (Qh, ur spelling wrong lah), which translated to English, means The Palace of the Sea. It was B-E-autiful, saw a morray eel wingling about, rare sight, because eels usually hide in holes, only sticking out their heads. I believe I saw a baracudda but no one else saw it, no one believes me. The Anemone City was a hell of a sight. It was just countless numbers of anemone corals, it was really like an underwater colony you see in Star Wars.

LLLeettttttttttttt's GGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII-VIIInNNNNNGGGG!!!

I went to PS and Bugis today to job search. Wanna pick up a job when I ORD. Looked around the restaurants and it'll was really tiring. Need to earn some cash to tide my through my poor student's life. The walking around made me really really tired. Anyway, my favourite cafe is closed for renovations. Yup, it's Terra Cafe, alamak, no place to go kopi liao. Hope it'll be nice as ever, hopefully better. If the crowd at Bugis ever becomes less beng-and-lian-nish, it'll be the perfect cafe, good people watching included.

I've entered the last stretch of my non-adulthood. Going to be 21 on Friday, how is it to be an adult? What is it like to be responsible for my signatures? What's the big deal about censored films with the R21 rating anyway? I'll find out soon...

I'm back in Singapore. So everyone who wants to find me can start looking for me. The diving trip at the Prehentian Islands of Terengganu, Malaysia was simply good. Went there with Any, Mark, Julian and Qiaohui. The trip there was crazily long, took a total of 13 hrs to get there. Did my Open Water Diver course and I'm a certified Open Water Diver! Diving there was really good. Saw corals and many many aquatic animals that I would only have seen on TV. I'll post the photos once I've gotten them. :)

Hmmm... I've been packing like mad and I've decided to throw in a backpack. I'm still filled up to the brim. What on earth am I doing? Looks like there's no bag that's every big enough for packing for a trip. Anyway, if there's anything emergency you'll need to get to me, (like death of whatever... eg. pet fish, dog? war? UN evacuation?) Call my place, my mum will tell you my roaming number. For those who have my roaming number, just SMS as and when you feel like ok? Even if it's a "Jia you jia you" sms. It's local SMS charges anyway... And I won't be charged for recieving an SMS. Enjoy!

It's finally here. I'm going for my diving trip. Am I excited? Maybe not. I just have a million thoughts going thru my mind. Wonder if anything will screw up. Wonder if back home, anything will screw up. I'm pretty sure nothing will mess up, but I'm super paranoid. Been working on the packing and the food stuff. Anyway I'll be a diver by the end of the trip. Padi Certified. I know I'll love diving. Anyway, my buddies for the trip will be Mark, Andy, Julian and Qiaohui. Hope everyone have a good week ahead while I have a good one myself. CheerS!

I just saw The Butterfly Effect. Man! it's good. Anyway I really love the ending song of the show. Stop Cryin Your Heart Out by Oasis. I've heard it in the past, liked it then, and I'm reminded of it all over again. With an added meaning... Fantastic song,

Stop Cryin Your Heart Out - Oasis

Hold up
Hold on
Don't be scared
You'll never change what's been and gone

May your smile (may your smile)
Shine on (shine on)
Don't be scared (don't be scared)
Your destiny may keep you warm

Cos all of the stars
Are fading away
Just try not to worry
You'll see them some day
Take what you need
And be on your way
And stop crying your heart out

Get up (get up)
Come on (come on)
Why're you scared? (I'm not scared)
You'll never change
What's been and gone

Cos all of the stars
Are fading away
Just try not to worry
You'll see them some day
Take what you need
And be on your way
And stop crying your heart out

Cos all of the stars
Are fading away
Just try not to worry
You'll see them some day
Take what you need
And be on your way
And stop crying your heart out

We're all of us stars
We're fading away
Just try not to worry
You'll see us some day
Just take what you need
And be on your way
And stop crying your heart out
Stop crying your heart out
Stop crying your heart out

I've recently heard of new spy on my blog. Welcome to the Spy-On-Me club. Please register with the club founder soon.

BTW, do read my disclaimer, which is posted at the bottom of the page.

It is important that entries are not used against me in courts of any sorts. And entries are not contributing factors judgements made against me.

I kinda rushed down to Harbour Front Centre to meet Huiting, Michelle and Laiping for a picnic. Well, i was greeted with an SMS when I reached the newly face-lifts shopping mall. "We'll be late". Haiz, "Wait to rush, rush to wait". But when they turned up, it was fun fun fun. Found a nice spot at the beach after a long long walk and set up the picnic. Ate not stop for some time then started playing frisbee. Took the beach train with ping as the girls talked. Beach train was fun. so slow, so relaxing...

Watched the sun set and took many photos. Ting was saying she felt like taking the monorail. There were some major dark clouds and thundering going on IN the monorail during the ride, but it was relieved after we made a decisive move before the storm started. Island Life, Love It!

It's been a very very very good week. I just got back from my ORD chalet. It was really fun and special, however there was a little problem, too little people turned up or at least. too little people stayed for the nights. There was alot of gooooood food from Andy, lots of piggy and lots of games.

Moving all the stuff to the chalet was crazy, Andy's car was soo soo full. We checked in and we were totally impressed with the place. So big and spacious. We unloaded our stuff and headed out for shopping, met up with Xiong and Mao on the way and headed back with Changi Nasi Lemak.

This chalet is by far the only chalet I've eaten enough of properly food and meals. There wasn't any tidbit meals. Andy was the power chef, with Jovita's help, woah... loads of good proper food. And the Flambae and Fondue night snacks were stuff to die for. Believe it or not, here's Day 2 dinner's menu:
1. Roast Chicken
2. Hotdogs
3. Garlic Toast
4. Whip potatoes
5. White Raspling Wine

Dessert was Fruits Fondue

Played loads of mahjong, which was fun until it got kinda freaky when I went on a crazy winning streak. We thought it was because I left the table during the west wind. Caught a couple of movies and then came the BBQ.

BBQ was good, only that Jeffery had a bit too much to drink. He wasn't pissed drunk, just on a high, he was still walking and playing cards, but he's actions got a little too weird. Then there was Marcus, damn powerful. He grabbed food to eat even before he greeted everyone. I was shocked when I saw him eating when he finally appeared in front of me. And yesterday, he was dressed like a satay man. The group photo and Faizal's toast were indeed memorable. Yum seng everyone... CheerS! ORD Loh!

Yeah! I'll be going for chalet for the next 4 days. Although it's kinda disappointing that not everyone will be there, but I do hope people will turn up for enough of time to bond and have our last bit of fun together. It's the ORD chalet and Jov very kindly paid for the chalet booking. In return, we are to give him a hell of a BBQ and loads of fun, including mahjong.

BTW, to all fellow blogger users, the new interface is nice hoh? I'm really impressed. Go Blogger!

Anyway to all the readers out there, if you're feeling bored and if you need to go somewhere in the next few days. Our chalet is IT. We have a huge chalet with less then 10 people staying each night. Kind of lousy crowd, but if you wanna come down, gimme a call. Oh ya, for the BBQ, for those whom i've jioed, you are still invited. Come lah... Give me a call ya? BTW, waffle day should still be on. Call us oso. :)

CheerS. Wish me lotsa fun...

When I get back from the chalet I'll have to fill in a million forms for my NYP enrolment and I'm considering if I should bring the stuff to the chalet to do. Somebody save me... I'm drowning in this mess of things to be done. Argh!

Today started real early. As early as 7. I woke up to go for a run in East Coast with Laiping and Ting just pang seh us. Haiz, she overslept. Anyway the run was nice but ECP wasn't crowded today, I wonder why. Had breakfast at Marine Parade Macdonalds, I hate macs breakfast, but i ate it anyway. There was this girl, aw man.... she's damn cute. Maybe she's a little more fleshy than what most people call a slim girl, but her tan, her make-up gently blanding in with her skin colour, Amazing! I was totally mezmerised.

Nothing much happened, other then watching the O.C., as usual. Till finally at 11pm, Jeremy jioed me to go for a drive. He drove on the PIE and we exited at Bedok Reservior. Not knowing where to go, I called for help and with the help, we went to Bedok Blk 85 Bak Chor Mee. It's strange that they only sell soup minced pork noodles. I don't usually eat soup noodles, but heck is was nice. Better then usual, but I still like it dry, like it in No 1 Market and Alexendra Village. Drove around more later and we ended up in ECP service road. Stopped at the beach for a while and talked about him going over to Perth to study. The longest friend in contact, and my closest friend. The sound of the waves kinda soothed the whole "he's going to leave feeling". But then again... All the Best, Bro.

So where on earth has Mr Totally Addicted to Blogging been? Well, I've been around. I haven't really been in the mood to blog recently. I've been on leave in the past week. I'll be on leave for the next 2 months! It's a time that you slack, do nothing all day long. This total slow down of the brain, catalyses the rotting of the brain and man, I can't think of what to blog about. Anyway I really haven't been doing much, just working on my new craze.

The O.C., short for Orange County. That a drama from the States that starting screening recently on Channel 5. Well, I have my sources to get episodes of THE O.C. until the lastest episode in the States. The O.C. is a drama about, guess what? Folks living in the Orange County. Anyway, there's Ryan, Seth, Anna, Summer and Marrisa. Just who said Marrisa is the freak from PJC, who walks like a T-rex, and runs even more like a T-rex. The Marrisa in this show is totally cute, I didn't think she was pretty initially, but with time, she looked cuter and cuter. I'm totally hooked to the story, but i think i shouldn't be releasing spoilers. Watch on Channel 5 ok?

I went job searching with Ting and Mich yesterday, more like they. I'm still bonded to the government and so I shouldn't be looking for one. ;) Went running up and down International Plaza to sign up for temp jobs waiting lists. We went to eat Pasta at Pasta Mania after that. Laiping was supposed to join us but he didn't come. Pasta wasn't that good for me, the white wine sause sucks. Well, I do think that food at Pasta Mania sucks. I've only had one good meal out of all of my Pastamania experiences. Don't now why people like me. Maybe it's just me. I was supposed to go "shopping" with the girls with Laiping around. The plan was as the girls shopped, we hang around somewhere and guys' talk or something, but since Laiping stood us up, I went for a haircut.

Anyway I've been convinced to hold a BBQ for my birthday celebration on the 29th May. It's gonna be one day late, as my b'day date is on the 28th May, Friday. Anyway, everyone reading my blog should be invited. (note: jie, you're invited as well, come if you can)(pluto too). Everything isn't exactly confirmed, I'll sort things out soon.
